Licensed Psychotherapist (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)

Looking for a fresh start in a supportive and growing practice? Beacon Light Neuropsychology, LLC (BLN) is hiring a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) to help launch our therapy services in downtown Portland, ME. This is an ideal role for someone seeking flexibility, meaningful clinical work, and the opportunity to shape a growing practice. This role will initially focus on program development and transition into a full clinical caseload.

BLN is a private practice located in downtown Portland, ME. Founded in 2022, we offer neuropsychological evaluations and parent coaching with a focus on children, adolescents, and young adults.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Fully licensed in the state of Maine as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (no conditional licenses accepted)

  • Strong training and clinical focus in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)

  • Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults

  • Strong interest in program development and systems-building

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with other evidence-based modalities (e.g., DBT)

  • Interest in working with neurodiverse clients

  • Ability to work with patients across the lifespan

Responsibilities

  • Initially assist with designing and launching outpatient therapy services

  • Provide psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults

  • Conduct phone consultations with prospective clients to determine clinical fit

  • Participate in team meetings and collaborative care discussions

  • Engage in community outreach and marketing efforts

Compensation and Benefits

  • Fee-for-service clinical model starting at $64/hour, with annual pay increases

  • Higher clinical rate for weekend in-office sessions

  • Paid administrative time for non-billable tasks

  • PTO accrual and 8 paid holidays (at administrative rate)

We are actively exploring health, dental, vision, and life insurance options, which will likely be available in the near future.

Schedule

  • Availability for at least two afternoon or evening time blocks (e.g., 12PM – 7PM) is required

  • Schedule is otherwise flexible as long as clinical caseload expectations are met

  • Virtual sessions permitted when appropriate
