Parent Coaching
What is parent coaching?
Parent coaching is designed to provide caregivers with effective, evidence-based strategies to manage behaviors, build positive routines, and enhance communication. Whether you’re navigating concerns related to autism, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, anxiety, or general behavioral challenges at home, our approach is tailored to your family’s specific needs.
Through individualized coaching sessions with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), we help parents:
✅ Understand the reasons behind their child’s behaviors.
✅ Learn proactive strategies to replace challenging behaviors.
✅ Develop structured routines and reinforcement techniques.
✅ Improve communication and social interactions at home and in the community.
✅ Foster independence and emotional regulation.
✅ Gain confidence in managing everyday parenting challenges.
What is our approach?
Our parent coaching services are grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based framework that focuses on improving behaviors. ABA emphasizes observable behavior, environmental influences, and the power of positive reinforcement to bring about meaningful change. We offer this service for parents with children ages 2 to 12.
What makes us different?
One of our core values is providing comprehensive, individualized care. We recognize that every child and family is different, so we don’t rely on one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, we take the time to get to know your child, gather information about your unique circumstances, and develop strategies that are realistic, effective, and family-centered.
📉 Data driven. We ask that parents track behaviors between sessions using brief, secure online tools. We analyze this information to tailor strategies and monitor progress over time. This helps us determine whether adjustments need to be made.
🧑🧑🧒 Personalized behavior plan. After the third parent coaching session, we provide an individualized behavior plan outlining what to implement at home to support long-term change.
📚 Educational. We provide families with insight into the functions behind behavior—not just advice on how to respond to it—because we believe that understanding the principles of behavior and ABA is essential for creating meaningful, lasting change.
